Every Home Has A Story To Tell
When this couple found out they were expecting they began looking for a new home for their family. Even though they loved their neighborhood, after visiting open house after open house they couldn’t find anything in the area at the right price point that didn’t already need major remodeling. So, they decided to stay in their home and renovate it to fit their needs.
Redesigned with a new floor plan, kitchen, and owners’ suite – this adorable cottage in St. Paul is the perfect home for this family of three. On the main floor, the new open floor plan is bright and open, inviting gorgeous natural light into every room. Upstairs, a dormer addition creates extra space for a much needed owners’ suite with a walk-in closet and en suite bath.
Transformations: Before & After
Before the remodel, the kitchen in this St. Paul Bungalow did not leave lots of room for preparing meals.
In the newly remodeled space, there is plenty of storage with built in shelves and cabinets and seating at the island.
Before the remodel, the doorways were narrow and the rooms did not feel very spacious.
Removing the wall separating the kitchen and dining room gave us room to build a custom island with additional seating and storage. Fewer walls means natural light can now filter through the entire house, brining with it positive energy and well-being.

In anticipation of their little one and a need for a little privacy and relaxation, we built a new owners’ suite for these new parents. A dormer addition created the extra headroom necessary for an en suite bath and walk-in closet.
Adding an owners suite brings big happiness. Think about it: the bedroom is where we start and end each day. Creating the perfect space to rest and recharge will add major joy to these homeowners’ day-to-day lives.
